About

I am spending 20 weeks (I say it that way because it’s *technically* not quite five months, but rounding down to four would be unrealistic) doing a puppetry internship in North Carolina while my domestic/romantic/life partner holds down the homestead in Texas.

This blog is in the format of a public journal. Expect rough-or-first-draft quality, and a blend of describing work projects, daily activities and rambling introspection.

My internship is with Paperhand Puppet Intervention, an incredible organization that has been creating large scale puppetry performances for eighteen years. I will be performing in August and September of 2017.

I also studied puppetry in Japan in the Summer of 2012 and wrote about that experience here: Let’s Go To Japan
